Check Out This Awesome Parade of Smart Cars

A huge gathering of smart car owners was recently conducted at Hungaroring in an event called Smarttimes 2015. The autos were displayed and even paraded all over the Formula One race track. We are not sure how many participated in the event, but it was definitely a lot looking at the pictures taken by MB Passion. Based on photo above and the gallery below, there might be more than a hundred of them. The types of smart cars featured in the gathering were the Fortwo and Forfour. NYPD Replaces Scooters with the Smart ForTwo Cars

Last month it was revealed that the New York City Police Department has been testing the Smart ForTwo. According to Business Insider, NYPD is planning to include the compact vehicle into its fleet in order to replace its aging three-wheel Cushman scooter units. The report said the Department decided to shift to the Smart car because of the comfort it can bring to its occupant. Compared to the scooter, the car will offer heating, air conditioning and one more seating capacity. Revealing the Official Photos of the New Smart Fortwo and Forfour

The 2016 Smart Fortwo and Forfour finally make their official public appearance. The two electric vehicles appeared to have significant improvements in terms of design with a more stylish hood and new LED headlights. The two color scheme of the cars and safety cell highlights were retained, but with more than 40 color combinations to choose from for its exterior, including new color selections. Back in 1998, Daimler introduced a solution for motorists in crowded cities who usually have a hard time maneuvering and looking for a parking space. The answer came in the form of the Smart ForTwo. The two-door and two-passenger Smart car was projected to be a hit, because aside from its improved maneuverability and compact size, it was also offered in a more affordable price. The first generation of the Smart ForFour was a flop during its three-year production run in the market. The dismal performance of the variant made some think that Daimler may be dropping the ball on its Smart car brand. New Generation of Mercedes-Renault Smart Cars Caught on Tape

The third generation of smart cars have been caught on video during a recent testing. These are fruits of the partnership forged between Mercedes-Benz and Renault. The exterior of the smart cars remain literally sketchy as of the moment due to the camouflage wrapped all around their armors, so we can’t comment yet on what they look like on the outside. Smart has become a brand name synonymous with stylish compact city cars. An alliance was formed back in 1994 by watch manufacturer, Swatch, and Daimler-Benz AG to undertake the new project. Interest in the brand grew immediately following the first model’s release in 1998.
