Mercedes Marco Polo Makes Its Debut

Last July, we revealed to you the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo. The vehicle is basically the three-pointed star’s response to Volkswagen’s California camper van. However, Mercedes has upped the ante on this one by making it more luxurious and more comfortable than its rival. Recently, at the Caravan Salon 2014 in Dusseldorf, Mercedes finally debuted the vehicle in not one, but two variants. The first was simply called the Marco Polo while the other carried the Marco Polo ACTIVITY moniker. Is Daimler Aiming for a Motorcycle Division

There have been speculations in the past that Daimler was looking to pursue the expansion of its vehicle range by adding a motorcycle division. This was fueled up when the German multinational automotive corporation joined in the bid to own Ducati two years ago. Unluckily, the famous motorcycle brand landed in the ownership of Volkswagen, a rival of Daimler. The brand was put under the Lamborghini development division of VW. “Changes” the official soundtrack of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the number one advert this week in the Shazamed Ad Chart. The song composed by French electronic artists Faul & Wad Ad Vs. Pnua overtakes last week’s number one, “Shift” by K3Y which is Boohoo.com’s ad. The 30-second short music video was created by Jung Von Matt & Publicis. It showcases the amazing features of the latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class such as its stylish exterior, luxurious interior, high-end controls, and the different financing options for its business customers. Since Daimler killed its ultra-luxury brand Maybach, there’s no longer a car that could be considered more prestigious than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. That means customers who want a car more elite than the S-Class will just have to settle with other brands like BMW and Volkswagen for the Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Revealed: Ranking of Car Brands in Terms of Engine Reliability

Warranty Direct, the UK’s top provider of direct consumer warranties recently released the top brands of cars that are least and most likely to give you engine problems. The ranking was based on the company’s database which holds about 50,000 policies. Based from their records, German cars did not fare well against their Asian counterparts. They revealed that cars from Volkswagen, BMW and Audi are more prone to engine problems than the rest. Their database showed that Volkswagen’s rate of failure is 1 in 52 engines. New Air Conditioning Refrigerant Faces Protests from Daimler and Volkswagen

Air Conditioning units are meant to keep everything cool. However, as the European Union pushed for the switch of refrigerants from R-134a to R-1234yf for new cars this 2013, things have gone hot.
