Mercedes-Benz USA Sales Went Down 3% in Q1

Mercedes-Benz USA just released its sales report for the month of March. According to the press release of company, it sold 28,164 luxury vehicles in the month that just ended. The figures tally up for a total of 75,769 for the first quarter of the year. Overall, the first quarter Mercedes-Benz USA sales went down by three percent compared to the same period in 2015. Outside the luxury car and SUV variants of Mercedes, the Smart brand was able to sell 479 units. Iglhaut Reveals Off-Road Tuning Plans for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class

Aftermarket tuning specialist Iglhaut recently announced its plan to release a new package for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. According to to tuner, it will be transforming the van into an “extreme terrain vehicle”. Iglhaut stated that it will equip the auto with a permanent all-wheel-drive system coupled with three locking differentials, higher suspension, and underbody protection. Also seen in the photos of the V-Class released by the company are large off-road wheels, roof rack, brush guard, vehicle snorkel, and rocker bars. It seems the new recall of Mercedes-Benz, which was announced a few days ago, does not only cover the E-Class, M-Class, and GLK-Class ranges as we reported earlier. Daimler, Renault Working on New Large Van?

According to a report on Bloomberg, Daimler is in talks with Renault on a possible cooperation for a new large van model, yet another instance of the existing pact between the two automakers.
