Mercedes-AMG GT is Motor Trend’s Best Driver’s Car in 2015

Automotive journal Motor Trend recently named its Best Driver’s Car for 2015. Its choice this year was the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT. The special distinction was announced in the official website of Motor Trend. A video dedicated to the selection process of the award ,with the Mercedes sports car eventually emerging victorious among the other contenders, was also posted on the publication’s official YouTube channel. Even for a very luxurious brand that air an aura of excellence, Mercedes-Benz still makes mistakes occasionally. Well, no one is perfect anyway, and what’s important is that the issue gets remedied right away. Recently, it was revealed by Edmunds that Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling 2,580 units of its 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 4MATIC Coupe. This time, the culprit were the faulty seatbelts. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, the installation angle of the front seatbelts were incorrect. It said the left-side seatbelts may have been placed on the right side and vice-versa. The government agency warned that its improper integration may affect its locking mechanism. Mercedes-Benz USA recently revealed its new plan regarding its AMG cars. According to USA Today, company CEO Steve Cannon told journalists at the Quail Motorsports Gathering held last weekend that they are pushing for a change in their approach when it comes to selling models bearing the badge of its performance division. Cannon said that the company currently encourages its dealerships to showcase the AMG units apart from the standard Mercedes models. Mercedes-Benz USA Keeps Its Momentum Going with Another Record Sales

The U.S. automotive industry continued to display strong demand last May. Mercedes-Benz USA in particular displayed an 11% increase in sales on a year-on-year comparison for that month. According to PR Newswire, the German marque sold a total of 29,583 vehicles in the U.S. in the month that just ended. The figures were 2,966 higher than the same month of last year. Among the best-sellers last month were the C, E, and M-Class models.
