2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe spotted – arriving at dealers?

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure to see the new 2010 E-Class Coupe on the road while driving around town (Bellevue, WA). I spotted the E350 a couple hundred feet away, mostly because of the very very bright LED taillights. I had only a few moments to get my phone out and snap a pic before he drove off. Does this sighting mean we are close to a showroom debut, well according to some, the first E-Class editions for sale are likely to arrive by the end of the month or early July, so we can safely assume the launch is imminent. This is probably one of the test vehicles for the… Continue Reading »

2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS computer illustration

Just two weeks ago, we showed you spy shots of a CLS test mule with heavy camo. The test team did a great job with hiding any kind of details on what will become the look of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS; that of course didn’t stop the artist of the above computer illustration to speculate what it will look like. Let’s hope the actual design is simlar to the rendering because it looks fantastic. Head over to our friends at to see additional images of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS.

Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG spied at Nürburgring

Fresh spy shots have been published over at AutoWeek, showing what appears to be an E63 with some light camo – not sure why that is still necessary. The E63 is set to debut at this years Frankfurt Auto Show in September. The engine will probably be a 6.3 liter V8 with approximately 525hp if not more. It’s being reported that Mercedes-Benz is getting rid of the brake-by-wire system known as SBC. The new E63’s conventional brakes will have disc-wiping capabilities and selective corner brake control. When it hits the streets sometime next year, it may even be equipped with ceramic breaks.

Mercedes-Benz CLS spied in Munich with heavy camouflage

The last time we saw 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS spy shots, it was being tested in Sweden; this time, spies caught it in Munich, Germany, making rounds with some oversized camo gear. Besides the pictures, there aren’t any other fact we really know, besides the constant rumor of it getting a BlueHybrid engine, same as the new S400, as well as an AMG engine with over 500 hp. Head over to our friends to see more spy shots.

Spy shots of 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLK

The next-generation SLK test mule has been spotted making rounds on a track, prepping for a possible 2010 release date. The 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLK will spot a similar, if not same, hard top folding roof, get some new LED fog lights as well as be similar in design to the new SLC Gullwing in the front. Our friends over at have also noticed that the side mirrors are attached to the doors on this prototype, but that could be only temporary. In terms of engine options, a diesel 2.2 liter 4 cylider twin-turbo may also be available upon launch, and some say that even a hybrid version will available…. Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe: First Impressions

Not only did we get some exclusive spy photos of the new E-Class Coupe yesterday, but we also got a mini review of the Coupe. Another Insider sent us a mail with some very interesting tidbits. Here is it in her/his own words. … well, about the differences, there are many compared to the CLK. On this new E-Coupe, you have all the technologies of C-Class + E-Class, such as the Advanced Agility suspension as well as Night View Assist. The aircon has been upgraded (even in standard, it’s now electronic). In terms of handling, the car is even more comfortable and easier to drive. As the car is quite… Continue Reading »

Exclusive Spy Shots of the Next-Gen E-Class Coupe Exterior and Interior

We’ve received exclusive spy shots of the next-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe from our very own spy photographer and “Insider”. You’ve seen dozens of such sighting in the past, but I don’t believe we’ve seen pictures of the car this close and (shall we say) personal. In this round of spy shots, we not only get to see the exterior in plain sight, but a glimpse into the interior. The Mercedes interior emblems have been removed, as is customary in test vehicles, but we’re still able to see the rest of the dashboard, steering wheels as well as the shift knob. Our Insider has also confirmed that Mercedes-Benz is close to… Continue Reading »
