It looks like Wayne Newton’s one-of-a-kind custom 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is not the only mind-blowing car with the three-pointed star logo hitting the Barrett-Jackson auction at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center on June 17-19. Another highlight of the event is a special 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG gullwing coupe. The SLS comes with Iridium Silver Metallic paint hidden under a full chrome wrap, which raises its exclusivity even more. Meanwhile, its interior upholstery is clad in classic red leather. The Mercedes-AMG brand is more popular with its longtime use of powerful petrol engines. However, does it have plans for all-electric performance cars? According to Autocar‘s interview with Ola Kallenius, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development, there is a possibility for AMG to offer such cars in the future. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG already had its last hurrah in the production line. Despite having been replaced by the Mercedes-AMG GT, it remains one of the gems of Mercedes’ performance division. Just when we thought that no one is tinkering with this now-limited sports car model anymore, Inden Design recently unveiled their latest project involving the auto. According to Motor1, the Black Series variant of the car was used for the project. I grabbed this collectible item when I stopped by for gas at a Unioil station in Metro Manila, Philippines. I was impressed with the attention to detail that Shantou MZ Model Co., Ltd. have displayed in their product so I thought about sharing it here.
