Special Edition Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 Sold For Charity

A special edition Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 was recently unveiled by the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany, according to a report from motorward.com. The special edition model of the super car, which was produced to demonstrate the social responsibility of Mercedes-Benz, was sold for the benefit of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Mercedes-Benz is one of the founding partners of the foundation. The special edition SLS AMG GT3 has a special blue and white color scheme and featured numerous logos of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Schumacher in Mercedes-Benz F1 Car Takes On AMG Models

Before the 24-hour Nurburgring event last weekend, Mercedes-Benz put on an awesome demonstration of what their Formula One car is capable of. The demo pitted Michael Schumacher in a Mercedes-Benz F1 race car against four AMG variants of the brand in a game of “catch up”. The variants included were the A45 AMG, E63 AMG 4Matic, SLS AMG Black Series and SLS AMG GT3. On the helm of the AMG cars were Bernd Maylander, Karl Wendlinger, Nico Rosberg and Bernd Schneider, respectively. The gullwing with race number 1 that dominated the 24-hour event which was held in Dubai on January 10 to 12, 2013 was driven by Khaled Al Qubaisi (UAE), Bern Schneider (Germany), Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands) and Sean Edwards (Great Britain).
