The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster is such a gem in the three-pointed star marque’s colorful history. So it is such a treat seeing one in a good condition, and it is such a delight seeing this classic being restored to its near-pristine condition. It comes as worrisome though whenever a tuner announces its plans to make major alterations to the vehicle. Aftermarket tuner S-Klub recently announced its plans to release a new 300 SL Roadster restomod. It comes with some teasers from Jon Sibal, a car designer who is known for his virtual auto concepts and 3D renders. One of the recent projects of the artist was the Porsche 550… Continue Reading »

Last year, spy shots of its camouflaged next-gen model were already out in the open, and recently, its prototype has started stripping down some of its covers. The new photos of the auto taken by Motor1 show the upcoming SL convertible sporting a red fabric top. Good Deal or Bust: Is This $5,500 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Worth It?

The 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL500 R230 is such a beautiful convertible with its elegant and sporty design matched with a powerful V8 engine. However, buying a used one, especially at a very low price, certainly raises a lot of red flags because if you are unfortunate enough to land on a problematic unit, the repairs can be very costly. Upon its introduction, the MSRP of a brand new 2004 SL started at $88,000. Based on Edmunds, a used 2003 to 2005 model of the car is around the $11,000 mark. Recently, YouTuber Car Wizard scored a deal on this gem at an auction for only $5,500. That’s only half of its… Continue Reading »
