Daimler Buses Provides Vehicles For Austrian Transport Company

The modernization program of ÖBB Postbus GmbH will concentrate on the acquisition of Setra and Mercedes-Benz vehicles. An agreement between ÖBB Postbus GmbH and Daimler Buses will see vehicles delivered to the company from 2013 to 2017. Although the exact number of buses was not revealed, it may reach up to around 400 units. Local public transportation systems are operated by ÖBB Postbus GmbH in Austria. The Managing Director of Sales, Marketing and After-Sales of Daimler Buses Till Oberwörder revealed that Daimler Buses is happy with the trust given by ÖBB Postbus in providing high-quality vehicles. First S 516 HD Delivered To Schäfer-Reisen

“Schäfer-Reisen” already decided the route of the new touring coach before the S 516 HD was delivered to the operator at the Setra Customer Center. The coach is the first ComfortClass 500 that will be delivered by the Daimler AG company to the state of Hesse in Germany. Di Fonzo Receives Latest Setra Touring Coach

Daimler turned over an S 515 HD to Di Fonzo recently at the Customer Center of the vehicle manufacturer in Neu-Ulm. The vehicle is the eightieth Setra bus in the fleet of the Italian bus company. The latest addition is the sixth model of the Setra that has entered the lineup of the bus company that is based in the town of Vasto along the Adriatic coast. The forty-nine-seat S 515 HD will be operated along European routes by Di Fonzo, which will also use it for interregional services in between Rome and Vasto. 150 Mercedes-Benz and Setra Buses Ordered by Largest Bus Line in Germany

The orders just keep pouring in for Daimler Buses. The company has just received a big batch order from Germany’s largest bus service provider, DB Fleet Management GmbH for DB Regio bus, with a total of 150 units comprised of a mix of Mercedes-Benz and Setra branded buses for use in urban and regional transportation. To ensure a minimal environmental footprint, the buses will feature Mercedes-Benz’s BlueTec SCR technology. They will also meet the Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicle (EEV) standard that’s known for being stricter than the Euro V emissions standard. Setra Delivers 2000th Bus in Switzerland

Daimler AG subsidiary Setra, of the commercial bus and touring coach fame, has just reached a milestone in Switzerland. The company just finished the delivery of its 2000th bus in the country. The bus—an S 431 DT TopClass 400 double-decker, which seats 78 people and is classified as a 4-star unit—was for operator Ernst Marti AG, and is intended for the company’s long-distance holiday trips bound for Spain and Italy.
