Mercedes-Benz passes million-car sales mark in July

Here’s one more indicator of just how much success Mercedes-Benz is enjoying in 2015: in July, the German automaker has just passed the 1-million mark for cars sold so far this year. To be more specific, Mercedes-Benz has sold 1,048,178 vehicles as of the end of July 2015. That number plus smart car sales adds up to 1,119,629 units. “Never before have we delivered so many cars to customers in the first seven months of a year,” stated Mercedes-Benz Cars marketing and sales chief Ola Källenius. Mercedes-Benz surpasses 2013 sales total through November 2014

If you need a measure of the success Mercedes-Benz has had in 2014, here’s a good stat to chew on: the German automaker has already surpassed its total 2013 sales figures through November of this year. That means that the company is assured of a record year in 2014. Year-to-date figures are already at 1,486,839 units, which is a 12.4 percent improvement over the figures posted through the first 11 months of 2013. Momentum is everything, and Mercedes-Benz is capitalizing on its surge. March 2014 saw Mercedes-Benz sell the most cars in its history. With a whopping 158,523 vehicles sold last month, the German automaker is on track to reach its goal of global market leadership. The record figure represents a 13.3 percent growth, and that puts Mercedes-Benz’s year-to-date vehicle sales at 374,276, which is a 15.2 percent increase over the same period last year. Mercedes-Benz Posts Record Sales in October 2013

With Q4 now in full swing, Mercedes-Benz gets off to a hot start by posting record sales over the month of October with a total of 126,421 units shipped to customers. Apart from the all-time high figure, that accounts for a 15.3 per cent increase compared to October last year. Year-to-date figures are at 1,189,059 units of passenger vehicles, which is also a record and is 10.7 per cent higher than the same 10-month period in 2012. Mercedes-Benz Strong in August, Posts 18.7% Gain

There’s no slowing down Mercedes-Benz, it seems. The German automaker once again posted a record month in terms of sales, with last August accounting for its best-ever performance in that month. All in all, the company sold 108,417 units, which translates to an 18.7% increase compared to the same month last year. That sales figure for August puts the year-to-date total to 916,644. Mercedes-Benz Posts Record July Sales

Mercedes-Benz is off to a solid start for the second half of 2013, with the German luxury car maker posting record results for July and managing 20% growth on year-over-year figures for the month. A total of 116,790 vehicle units were sold over last month. That puts the year-to-date tally up to 811,227 units, which marks an 8.1-percent increase over the same January-to-August period in 2012. Daimler Posts Q2 Earnings

Daimler AG has posted its official report of earnings for the second quarter of 2013, and the outlook is good for the German company that owns Mercedes-Benz. Highlights include a net profit of €4.583 billion, which translates to around $6.05 billion, from total revenue of €29.7 billion (around $39.2 billion). Overall, the figures compare favorably to the figures for the same period last year. Net profit was only at €1.57 billion in Q2 2012, while revenue is up from €28.9 billion. Group EBIT is up from €2.268 billion in Q2 2012 to €5.242 billion for this year’s second quarter.
