Mitsubishi Galant AMG: Japanese by Birth, German by Heart

AMG is for Mercedes-Benz as Ralliart is for Mitsubishi. Right now, it’s hard to picture AMG engines going to cars outside the three-pointed star marque. However, once upon a time, there was such a thing as the Mitsubishi Galant AMG. Although AMG was already linked to Mercedes cars since 1971, it was only in 1993 when the two forged an exclusive contract. Three Plug-In Mercedes Hybrids will Hit U.S. by 2015

Before 2015 ends, Mercedes-Benz will be launching its first-ever hybrid plug-ins in the U.S. The earliest release of the plug-in Mercedes hybrids is probably in the spring of that year, according to Green Car Reports. Mercedes-Benz already hinted in several interviews that its S-Class and C-Class sedans will be offering plug-in hybrid models later. However, the source claimed that there will be one more. Mercedes-Benz Showed the Least Recall Rate in the US Says Research

A 30-year study that focused on the safety of vehicles in the US revealed that Mercedes-Benz had the lowest recorded recall rate. According to Reuters, the research was conducted by a Woburn, Massachusetts-based firm called iSeeCars. The study reviewed 15 major automakers operating in the US. The methodology of the long-term study compared the number of vehicles recalled from 1985 to 2014 with the number of cars sold within 1980 to 2013. Based on the data, Mercedes-Benz recalls vehicles at a rate of 0.41. That means Mercedes recalls 41 vehicles for every 100 units sold.
