Mercedes-Benz CLA Makes its Much Anticipated Debut in the Streets of Vienna

Last January 19, the Mercedes-Benz CLA made its much awaited debut in the streets of Vienna. Normally, we could only witness the car’s amazing performance around the test tracks. So, according to the press, this was actually the very first time for it to travel in the middle of the normal traffic. We don’t really know why the new Mercedes-Benz was on the streets during that time. Well, we could only assume that it was probably on a test drive. But one thing noticeable with it was the license plate which was registered in Hungary. This only means one thing – that the car is fresh from the Kecskemet plant.

Since the news spread about the new CLA ad for Super Bowl, all we have been hearing is the name Kate Upton. One of her commercials for Mercedes-Benz even got 5 million hits from YouTube, much to the chagrin of some Parents’ Group. But here’s a surprising fact – the sexy supermodel does not even own a car. The Mercedes-Benz CLA has just recently entered production, with the Kecskemet, Hungary plant celebrating Job #1, the first CLA unit to be finished. Still, it seems that automotive enthusiasts just can’t help keep wondering about what the future holds for this new compact sedan model. Here’s a rendering for a possible Shooting Brake variant for the CLA, made possible by the skilled hands of one Theophilus Chin. Kecskemét Plant Rolls Out Its First Mercedes-Benz CLA

The Kecskemét plant of Mercedes-Benz rolled out the first Mercedes-Benz CLA recently around ten months after the plant was opened. The occasion saw the prime minister of Hungary, Victor Orbán, in attendance along with the Mercedes-Benz Cars head and Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler, Dr. Dieter Zetsche. They were welcomed by the manager of the Kecskemét plant, Frank Klein. Dr. Dieter Zetsche revealed that the Mercedes-Benz CLA is based on a Concept Style Coupe, which was introduced last year. Mercedes-Benz is really going all-out as far as marketing the new CLA goes. The automaker, via its MercedesBenzTV channel on YouTube, has outed a fresh commercial for the vehicle. We see the familiar action shots of a vehicle isolated across roads and different types of terrain, although here, we get to see a wolf running around as if it were an avatar for the car. The spot highlights some of the qualities of the CLA, such as its ‘dynamic coupe character’ and other key features and technologies of the vehicle.
