Since the news spread about the new CLA ad for Super Bowl, all we have been hearing is the name Kate Upton. One of her commercials for Mercedes-Benz even got 5 million hits from YouTube, much to the chagrin of some Parents’ Group. But here’s a surprising fact – the sexy supermodel does not even own a car. After all the hype that Mercedes-Benz released for their Super Bowl 2013 ad, we finally had a chance to see it. Spoiler Alert! Amidst the expectations of many that it would center on Kate Upton and Usher, as various press releases led everyone to believe, it was not the case. The video actually focused on a guy and Willem Dafoe in his most devilish character since playing the Green Goblin. The supermodel and the singer only made cameo appearances in the video, to the disdain of the swimsuit model’s fans and celebrity singer’s admirers. Mercedes-Benz Commercial with Kate Upton Creates Controversy

Recently, CBS reported that the ad titled, “Kate Upton Washes the All-New Mercedes-Benz CLA in Slow Motion” has been drawing heat from some critics. One particular group who wasn’t impressed with it is the Parents Television Council. Their spokeswoman told Daily Mail UK that it was very racy and it was not even trying to sell the car. Mercedes-Benz Teases Kate Upton Super Bowl Spot

Mercedes-Benz USA, via its YouTube channel, teased a commercial that’s set to be fully shown during the broadcast of Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3. The spot stars the new Mercedes-Benz CLA alongside 2012 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover model Kate Upton. The teaser lasts over a minute and a half, so that should give us an indication that the actual spot could be much longer. In the preview, Upton is shown posing and blowing bubbles in a car wash, but it’s not exactly what you’d expect when you hear the keywords “Kate Upton” and “car wash” together in one sentence.
