Mercedes-AMG One Captures a Nurburgring Record

After setting records with the Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door and the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, racing driver and AMG brand ambassador Maro Engel took another shot at glory with the new Mercedes-AMG One. Topping at a whopping 210 mph, the AMG One completed one lap of the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring in just six minutes and 35.183 seconds. In comparison, that is around eight seconds faster than the record set by the Porsche 911 GT2 RS with the Manthey Performance Kit and 22 seconds faster than the Porsche 918 Spyder. To maximize its limited time on the track, AMG used two units of the hypercar. These were consequently checked and documented by TUV… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG Project One Seen with Lambo and Bugattis

The Mercedes-AMG Project One is long overdue. Deliveries of the hypercar were originally scheduled for 2019, but the deadline was pushed back to 2020. Later, the pandemic happened so they said it’s happening this 2021. Up to now, there’s still no definite date for its rollout. According to reports, the delay in the deliveries of the Project One was due to its problems in meeting emission standards. That means there’s still a lot of work to be done with the car. With the pressure from buyers who already ordered the car though, Mercedes seems to be working double time on the Project One lately. Recently, its prototype was spied in… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG Project One: What’s Keeping It So Long?

The Mercedes-AMG Project One is already sold out but we are still waiting for its production version as well as its mass roll-out. Not that we ordered one or can even afford it, but its latest teasers have reminded us that its concept version is four years old by now. So what’s keeping the halo car so long? We are not sure yet as to where the countdown begins but AMG has already changed leadership and Project One’s launch is still a no-go. Daimler did confirm last year though that the hypercar is nearing its final testing phase but there’s no definite date for its public unveiling yet. According to… Continue Reading »

Project One Renamed as the Mercedes-AMG One

Just when the name “Project One” had already stuck in our heads, Mercedes-AMG renamed its hypercar simply as “One”. So starting now, we will be referring to it as the “Mercedes-AMG One”. We don’t know about you, but we found the “Project One” name to be very cool. So what was the reason for the change? There’s not much explanation from Daimler yet about the name change. The parent of company of Mercedes just said that “The name stands for the highest automotive ambition: to bring Formula 1 hybrid technology to the road.” It could be that “One” was what AMG had in mind after all this time. It might… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG Project One Images Leaked

The much-awaited Mercedes-AMG Project One is already undergoing testing. Recently, the hypercar was spotted at the Milbrook Proving Ground in Millbrook, Bedfordshire, UK. According to Mercedes, the car was too loud during testing for the locals not to notice. The leaked photos show the prototype covered in camouflage—as if that will hide the distinguishable features of the Project One. “The successful completion of [engine] dyno tests was followed by the installation of the highly complex powertrain into the first prototypes, which since then have been driving around unnoticed on a secret test ground in England,” the automaker’s press statement said. “But today it turns out to be more difficult to… Continue Reading »
