Mercedes-Benz appears to be gearing up to level up its game in the high-performance EV segment. Recently, a new camouflaged sports car suspected to rival the Porsche Taycan was caught on cam. The source says we may be looking at the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT4 EV. Successor to the EQE 53 Not to be confused with the Mercedes-AMG GT4 exclusive for customer racing teams, the GT4 EV test mule appears to be more of an evolution of the Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 4MATIC+ than an offshoot of its gas-guzzling namesake. During the end-of-season celebration of the company held on December 3, 2016, AMG boss Tobias Moers revealed that they are developing another race car that is configured to comply with the GT4 rules. Tobias Moers recently confirmed that the Mercedes-AMG GT4 will soon become a part of the AMG GT lineup of the company, as shown on a report from gtspirit.com.
