Mercedes-Benz SSKL Avus Racing Car to Grace the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 125 years of its involvement in motorsports. Therefore, the company is gracing the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed with its classic sports cars, and it will be highlighted by the Mercedes-Benz SSKL Avus racing car. The SSKL looked ahead of its time when it came out in 1931. It was the pinnacle of the brand’s S-Series (W06), which came in S, SS and SSK designations. The 2016 Mercedes-AMG A45 was finally unveiled during the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, as shown through a report from gtspirit.com. The new A45 increases the 355 HP power output of the outgoing model as it reclaims the title of the most powerful compact performance car from the Audi Audi RS3 Sportback. Mercedes-Benz E300 BlueTEC Hybrid Completes Epic Journey With A Single Tank Of Fuel

An epic journey was completed by the Mercedes-Benz E300 BlueTEC Hybrid as it travelled from the African continent all the way to the United Kingdom with a single tank of fuel, a report from worldcarfans.com revealed recently. Behind the wheel of the standard model of the E300 was Andrew Frankel. The luxury hybrid vehicle averaged 3.1 liters for every 73.6 miles or 100 kilometers during its non-stop journey. The adventure started in Tangier, North Africa and the British journalist travelled across two continents before reaching the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Goodwood Festival of Speed to Honor History of Mercedes-Benz Racing

The 22nd Goodwood Festival of Speed, set to take place June 26-29 in West Sussex, England recently announced that the Central Feature of the 2014 Festival will pay tribute to 120 years of achievement in motor sports by Mercedes-Benz.   Every year the lawn at Goodwood House, the site of the Festival of Speed, is consumed by an automotive-themed sculpture for the duration of the Festival.
