Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen Tackling SUV Market – Again

Since beginning development circa 1972 and becoming Range Rover-esque in 1979, G500 Mercedes owners have often pinched themselves after purchasing this beastly SUV. The Mercedes G-Wagen is not the first vehicle you’ll have in mind if you want something tuned. It has a body-on-frame chassis and 50-year-old origins—Mercedes clearly did not intend for it to be a performance car. Besides, the G-Wagen has a far inferior aerodynamics compared to anything Brabus has put their magic on before. Well, it seems Brabus will not be put off by an underperforming Mercedes anytime soon. The tuning company announced a tuned version of the G500 4×42, which means the Mercedes G63’s 6×6 enormous tires and portal axles can now be found under the regular, four-wheeled G-Wagen.
