Mercedes-AMG GLE63 Coupe Rolls Over After Driver Pulls a Dumb Stunt

The Mercedes-AMG GLE63 Coupe is well-engineered and it comes with a lot of safety features that help keep its stability on the road. However, a crazy stunt coupled with the element of dumbness may not even be enough to save it. From a video circulating in Reddit, the compact GLE63 was going on a roundabout before it flipped over. It wasn’t clear what the driver was trying to do here. However, according to MBWorld, looking closely at the front wheel lift of the compact SUV before it completely rolled over strongly suggests that its electronic stability control or ESC had been turned off while the driver was trying to drift…. New Photos of the Mercedes MLC63 AMG Surface

New spy photos of the heavily anticipated Mercedes MLC got out again. According to IOTOMOTIF online magazine, the new images were taken at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France. It should be noted though that the subject of the photos here appears to be more than the standard version of the SUV coupe. We think it is actually the Mercedes MLC63 AMG. Some features that give it away as an AMG variant are its aggressively styled body kit, new set of alloy wheels, plus its massive quad exhaust system. As a bonus, the photographer also took a peek at the interior of the vehicle. Although grainy, and we surely have seen… Continue Reading »

More EU Nations Could Block Mercedes-Benz Car Sales

France is only the beginning. With more EU governments deciding to take action against Daimler over the use of coolant in certain new Mercedes-Benz models, the German automaker could have a hard time sticking to its preferred automotive coolant. Some new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class, and SL-Class models have been denied registration by France as Daimler continues to use R134a, the coolant banned by the EU starting  2013. R134a has been classified as a global warming agent and is said to be a thousand times more powerful than carbon dioxide. According to Daimler, the replacement coolant approved by the EU, R1234yf, poses a risk as it could emit toxic should it… Continue Reading »

Classic Relationship Between Mercedes-Benz And France

The relationship between France and Mercedes-Benz has been special ever since the manufacturer introduced its first automobile into the country in 1898. This came well before the introduction of its luxury Mercedes-Benz S-Class into the market. At this time Germans did not think highly of automobiles, which made it practical for the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer to display its products at the pioneering international motor show in Paris. The event, organized by the Automobile Club de France, proved to be a breakthrough for the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft since France was considered as the leading country when it came to automobiles at that time. The entry of Emil Jellinek, an Austrian businessman, facilitated the… Continue Reading »
