Mercedes-Benz Posts 55th Record Month in September

Mercedes-Benz sales continued to climb higher as the company ended the ninth month of 2017. The third quarter data also showed a very strong performance in the market for the premium car brand. According to Daimler, Mercedes sold 220,894 luxury vehicles in September. The numbers were up by 4.5 percent compared to the same month of last year. With that, the company just posted its 55th consecutive record month. Since the beginning of the year, the premium brand delivered a total of 1,717,300 autos to customers. Mercedes-Benz Self-Driving Car: How Far Have They Gone?

At the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Daimler CEO Dr. Dieter Zetsche revealed several updates about their Mercedes-Benz self-driving car project. All Mercedes-Benz Cars and SUVs To Get Electric Versions By 2022

Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche revealed that all the existing Mercedes-Benz models will get their electric versions by 2022. The company is targeting to offer at least 50 hybrid and full-electric variants going to that deadline. From January to June of 2017, Mercedes-Benz sales broke the records it set within the company during the previous years. One Million Mercedes-Benz Units Recalled

Daimler made an announcement that one million units of Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be recalled worldwide. That was after the company discovered that some models are at risk of catching fire because of a potentially defective fuse. According to Reuters, 51 fires were already reported by Mercedes owners globally, and the culprit was a faulty fuse.
