Bye Bye Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive

Mercedes-Benz USA confirmed that the production run of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive is at its end. The units of the B-Class after the 2017 model year will no longer offer an electric powertrain. According to Automotive News, the announcement came from the spokesman of the company, Rob Moran. He said that the production of the affected model will halt in the third quarter of this year. Half-Year Mercedes-Benz Sales Break Company Record

The luxury division of Daimler continues its success when it comes to vehicle deliveries to customers. From January to June of 2017, Mercedes-Benz sales broke the records it set within the company during the previous years. According to Daimler, the early half-year Mercedes-Benz sales of 2017 increased by 13.7% compared to the performance of the brand in the same period of last year. The overall sales of its luxury vehicles in the first six months of the current year numbered up to 1,144,274 units. One Million Mercedes-Benz Units Recalled

Daimler made an announcement that one million units of Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be recalled worldwide. That was after the company discovered that some models are at risk of catching fire because of a potentially defective fuse. According to Reuters, 51 fires were already reported by Mercedes owners globally, and the culprit was a faulty fuse. Production of Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Commences
