Lewis Hamilton Might Lose 20 Grid Places in Belgium Race

Lewis Hamilton is in danger of losing his score-advantage over his teammate Nico Rosberg this Sunday’s Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix. The reigning F1 world champion will likely suffer at least a 20-grid penalty in the race. According to BBC, Hamilton already exceeded the use of some of his allowable engine tokens for the season. Due to the continuous engine-related woes he has been encountering, new components have to be installed in his Silver Arrow’s power unit. Formula One team Mercedes-AMG Petronas is back in its winning ways. In the recently-concluded Belgian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton once again grabbed the win while his teammate Nico Rosberg took the second place. It should be noted that Hamilton finished 1:23:40.387. Rosberg crossed the checkered flag at 1:23:42.445. Mercedes began the race with a lockdown in the first and second pole positions. Mercedes: Rosberg fined and punished for Belgian GP incident

According to an official statement from Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team, Nico Rosberg has been reprimanded for making contact with Lewis Hamilton’s car during the last race in Belgium. The feud between the Mercedes drivers have gone from tolerable to very public and outright disastrous, coming to a head during the Belgian Grand Prix a weekend ago when Rosberg made contact with Hamilton’s car, sending the Brit limping off to the pits thanks to an unfortunate puncture in his rear tyre and to an eventual race retirement.
