New Four-Seater Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Spied In The Cold

Based on previous spy shots, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe is about to get a 2+2 layout. And no, we’re not referring to the 4-Door Coupe version of the car right now. Recently, one version of the high-performance vehicle was spotted while testing in cold weather. The video from CarSpyMedia shows the same level of camouflage found in the earlier spy shots of the two-door coupe. The wraps are seen covering the nose, parts of the sides, and the entire back of the car, including its rear windshield panels. As always, the covers indicate where most of the changes will be taking place in the revised version of the AMG GT…. Continue Reading »

Plug-In Hybrid Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Spied During Winter Testing

A new version of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe is in the works. Recently, a prototype of this was spotted during its winter testing. The new spy shots captured by Motor1 show the AMG GT Coupe clad in partial camouflage. The wraps conceal its nose, parts of the side panels, and the entire rear, including the frame of the rear windshield. This means that changes are likely happening in the front bumper, side air intakes, and headlamps of the car. However, we expect it to retain its large Panamericana grille amid the upgrades. Meanwhile, the back will probably get revisions in the taillights and bumper. A close examination reveals a lot… Continue Reading »

2023 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Tested on Mountain Roads

The development of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe continues. Recently, the entry and top range models of the series were spotted making a climb on the mountain roads of the German countryside. The new spy video still shows the new generation AMG GT in heavy camouflage so there’s not much to see yet in the prototype as far as its exterior design is concerned. It is clear, however, that it is already using the platform used by the new Mercedes-AMG SL because of their somewhat similar stance. However, to distance itself from the AMG SL, the AMG GT seems to be having a more aggressive, more muscular, and sportier styling. The… Continue Reading »

Next-Gen Mercedes-AMG GT Spied During Testing

From the time it came out in 2014, the Mercedes-AMG GT family has seen its ups and downs. It initially began as a spiritual successor of the Mercedes-AMG SLS, and then it kept on adding more models after. However, the lineup appeared to have become so bloated later on that its maker later decided to streamline it. Personally, we prefer the latter as it somehow maintains the exclusivity of the range. Recently, a prototype was seen cruising around the track bearing the same features as the AMG GT. Based on the spy shots of Carscoops, it’s likely a prototype for the next-gen model of the car. From the looks of… Continue Reading »

Brabus and Fostla Collaborate to Tune the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S

World-renowned tuners Brabus and Fostla recently joined forces to give the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S a new look and engine boost. The upgrade takes the output of the car to supercar level, which is enough to rival the newly-unveiled Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door at the Munich Motor Show. First, the Brabus PowerXtra B40S-800 performance package puts the overall output of the Merc’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine to 800 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. The added power lets the auto sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds while its speed tops at 196 mph. Meanwhile, the Brabus body kit provides a more aggressive front… Continue Reading »

2020 Mercedes-AMG GT R Races the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door

The Mercedes-AMG GT R and the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door may be positioned on the same range, but in reality, the cars are from different breeds. The two-door is a pure standalone sports car while the four-door is more like a roided version of the CLS but with the same face as the two-door AMG GT R. With those things out of the way, the video here compares both cars and takes them on a half-mile drag race to find out which one is quicker. Mercedes-AMG GT R The AMG GT R houses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 capable of delivering up to 577 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque…. Continue Reading »

Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Attempts to Break Its Own Record in the ‘Ring

In November 2020, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series officially became the fastest production car on the Nurburgring Nordschleife with a time of 6:48.047 for the whole course, and 6:43.616 on its old 12.8-mile stretch. Recently, another attempt was made by the same car but with a different driver to break the record. Before the latest record attempt of the current Black Series, it was eclipsed by the Porsche 911 GT2 RS last month with a new record of 6:43.300 for a street-legal car on the 12.9-mile layout of the ‘Ring, which was quicker than the sports car’s best time. However, the Porsche was actually modified by Manthey Racing, so the… Continue Reading »
