Mercedes-Benz Reflects Two-Digit Growth in 2015

Daimler AG reported another successful year in 2015. According to the Global Media Site of the company, Mercedes-Benz recorded an overall 1,871,511 vehicles sold worldwide in the year that just ended. The figure translates to an increase of 13.4%, which marks the brand’s fifth consecutive record year. Mercedes also ended the year strong with 178,017 units sold in December. It’s a 9.1% growth based on a year-on-year comparison. In addition, the last quarter of the said year is highest in the three-pointed star marque’s 2015 record books with 495,159 units sold, which displays a rise of 8.8% compared to the same quarter of its previous year. Mercedes-Benz Continues to Raise Sales with Double-Digit Growth in October

Daimler reported that Mercedes-Benz increased its global sales by 10.1 percent to 155,189 vehicles in the month of October. The brand has reportedly continued to perform well in China amid the economic turbulence plaguing the country. Other countries that showed better sales during the period were Germany, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Canada, Russia, Taiwan, and Switzerland. From the start of 2015 up to October, the three-pointed star marque sold 1,531,541 units. Compared to the record set within that same time frame of the previous year, the numbers are 14.6% higher. It seems the new recall of Mercedes-Benz, which was announced a few days ago, does not only cover the E-Class, M-Class, and GLK-Class ranges as we reported earlier. According to Reuters Canada, even the commercial vans of the three-pointed star brand were affected. The report said Mercedes-Benz is recalling 8,729 of its Sprinter vans in the United States. The figure is in addition to the 4,871 sedans and SUVs, which were subject for recall following the recent probe of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
