As the countdown to Christmas 2015 nears its end, Mercedes-Benz released a new commercial for its C-Class titled “Silent Night.” Basically, the advertisement was made to build hype for the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C350e. As a recap, the C350e was unveiled as a follow up to the S550 Plug-In Hybrid. It is powered by both a petrol engine and an electric motor. To be specific, under its hood is a turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve 2.0-liter inline-four engine. It has an output of 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Benz C350e Failed Swedish Moose Test

The Mercedes-Benz C350e was selected by Teknikens Värld to go through its moose test, and the result was less than satisfactory, as indicated on a report from worldcarfans.com. The Swedish magazine revealed that the C350e failed the test, which shows its ability to dodge obstacles that suddenly jump in front of it. Mercedes-AMG to Release Hybrid Engines in 2020

Mercedes-AMG is focusing on releasing hybrid models in 2020. That is due to the pressure for carmakers to meet emission targets set by the international community, particularly the countries it considers as the three-pointed star marque’s biggest markets. Brabus Raises the Output of the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid to 500 HP

It seems Brabus wanted to do something different this time around. Instead of doing its magic on the usual suspects, it chose the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid. The new project of the tuner for the car was called the B50 Hybrid. Of course, since we are talking about Brabus here, the key feature of the tuned Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid is its reconfigured combustion engine.
