The media room of Daimler just announced not one, but two special models of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. The two limited edition models are called the Sport Edition and V8 Edition. Here are their key features: Sport Edition This edition gets a revised apron with a more striking air intakes, restyled radiator grille that comes with chrome inserts, muscular side sill panels, and distinct spoiler lip. Going around the rear will reveal a redesigned diffuser, and trapezoid-shaped exhaust tips. Since the Mercedes-Benz E500 Cabriolet is set to be retired by the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany, VATH has given it a sendoff it deserves through a notable tuning package, as shown on a report from gtspirit.com. The team of the German tuning company provided a new air cooling system, electronic modifications, and rear silencer to the 4.7-liter bi-turbo V8 engine of the E500 Cabriolet that increased its power output from 402 HP to 550 HP. Its torque was also increased from 600 Nm to 830 Nm. The power boost for the E500 Cabriolet is priced at around €10,600 or around $11,800. MEC Design, the renowned aftermarket tuner for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, recently released a teaser video for its new wide-body package, which is set to be released on January 12, 2015. The new product of the tuner was revealed in the video as Project Cerberus. One significant upgrade offered on the upcoming product of the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany is the use of the new 9G-Tronic transmission.
