More diesel engine options for future models

Would you mind switching to diesel? Apparently, luxury car companies don’t mind at all, especially with the big names such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz. BMW’s new 3-Series models are now running on diesel, while Mercedes-Benz’s C250 cars now running with an 1800cc turbocharged 4-cylinder under their hoods. Another model which will soon be sporting a diesel powerplant is the 2013 GLK. Potential owners will have the option to drive with a 2.1-liter turbodiesel engine for the GLK. Future C-Class, E-Class and SLK models may also be given the diesel option, according to Mercedes-Benz SL roadster project manager Gunter Fischer. You guys have got to check out these leaked photos of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe. I bet if you liked the BMW concept car Ethan Hunt was driving around in Ghost Protocol, then you’re going to love this. The snout of this baby is definitely and inarguably something borne from a vision of the future. Those pin-riddled grilles definitely provide enough air flow to the powerplant. And check out those wheels. Even when standing still, the design makes them appear almost warped as if they’re spinning at top speed. Mercedes-Benz Citan Unveiled

We already posted about the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Citan urban delivery vehicle, and now the van has been unveiled by the company ahead of its formal unveiling at the Hanover International Motor Show in the middle of September this year. The Citan is designed with European cities in mind and expands the automaker’s van lineup for that continent. It is available with a range of engines, which includes a 113hp supercharged gas engine as well as a trio of direct-injection turbodiesel engines between 74hp and 109hp. Rosberg Scores Historic Win for Mercedes GP

Nico Rosberg finally felt how sweet it is to win a Formula One Grand Prix event at the Chinese Grand Prix last Sunday. It was historic for both the driver and Mercedes AMG Petronas GP, as the win marked the first victory in 57 years for an F1 car that rode purely under the banner of the Silver Arrow. Rosberg cruised to victory, ending up with a 20.6-second lead on the next guys, who happened to be driving Mercedes-powered cars. McLaren-Mercedes teammates Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton finished second and third respectively to join the German race winner on the podium. Inden Design’s SL 63 AMG tuning kit

The SL63 AMG is something you won’t want to keep your hands from. That is exactly the case with the boys down at Inden Design who have decided to create a high-performance wide body tuning kit for the hardtop roadster. And guess what? They’ve already put a price tag on it—19,000 euros in its most basic form. Optional additions include a €3,500 bonnet, an €800 carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a €999 apron for the front. Labor would cost you around €8,000, while another €7,500 is needed to get your car a lacquer finish. Add all that up and you get to around €38,000 total. It doesn’t end there, though….
