Last week, we got the opportunity to see a computer illustration on what the 2010 E-Class Cabrio might look like. This week, courtesy of our beloved GlobalMotors guys, we get to see fresh spy shots of the upcoming E-Class Cabrio. It will be closely based on the coupe version, and will even inherit the E-Class sedan engines. The only thing different is that it will have a soft top, which of course is acceptable, but I am more in favor of having a hard top. Either way, looking forward to more spy shots and info of course. Mercedes-Benz officially announced the new E-Class yesterday, and today, we are getting fresh spy shots of the new E-Class Coupe. It seems that Mercedes is either not really trying to hide the E-Class Coupe or the spy ninjas are really good. I am actually more inclined to believe that Mercedes is preparing to officially announce the coupe the coupe in about 2 months at the Geneva Auto Show, so they aren’t concerned about spy shots anymore. As always, a big thanks goes out to GlobalMotors.net and their spy photographers.
We’ve seen spy shots of the next-gen CLS a few weeks back, but here are some more. This time we not only get to see the back of the test mule, but also the front and side. Test engineers have actually covered it up so much that it’s almost impossible to recognize the CLS, nevertheless, the world-famous CLS form is there and clearly visible. The spy photographer noted that it will be based on the E-Class and not the S-Class platform, as some have suggested. It will however, get the BlueHybrid engine that will be coming with the S 400, as well as all the diesel and gasoline engines from… Continue Reading »
The boys at GlobalMotors.net are at it again. A couple days ago they were able to capture the next-gen E-Class on its test driver, but today, they have some exclusive pictures of what will be the next CLS. While we only have shots of the side and rear, we are still able to see some similarities and difference to the current model. The main difference that is visible are the rear windows as well as the height of the car – this one seems lower to the ground. Expect to see the next-gen CLS in show rooms as a 2011 model year, right on que to compete against the Porsche… Continue Reading »
The guys over at WorldCarFans.com have some interesting footage of what will be the next E-Class Coupe. As you may remember, Mercedes will be changing the names for the CLK and CL, replacing them with E-Class Coupe and S-Class coupe respectively. It’s rumored that E-Class coupe will arrive to show room in spring of 2009 in show room, but we have our doubts about such a date – probably close to the end of 2009. As you’ll see below, NextAutos also captured some great images of the coupe while being tested.
Ever since we published the first official shots of the next-gen E-Class, critics were calling it everything from fake to computer generated images, well, here is some further proof, with the help of our new friends at GlobalMotors.net. They have published a series of spy shots of the new E-Class, which is nearly undisguised this time around. As you’ll see in the pictures below, the newest spy shots and the pictures we published as the first official E-Class pictures (by AutoBild), look 99% identical. There are of course some differences, but that is too be expected, as the car is still being tested and refined. See for yourself and tell… Continue Reading »
MotorAuthority has some exclusive shots of the former McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 driver Mika Hà¤kkinen behind the wheel of the E63 AMG test vehicle. His co-pilot is the long time Mercedes-Benz test and race driver Klaus Ludwig. A few clues that give away the test mule as being the E63 is the rear bumper with quad tailpipes as well as the perforated brake discs with over-sized calipers. If you can’t wait til the speculated launch date in March at the Geneva Motor Show, then head over to MotorAuthority and check out the complete gallery of spy pix.
