Production starts at second Mercedes-Benz C-Class plant

There’s a lot of demand for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and as such, the German automaker needs to have enough facilities to ensure the supply of this high-selling model line. Things should get a boost now that the second of a planned four total locations, at the new East London facility in South Africa, has just started production. The first dedicated C-Class production facility in Bremen started production some three months back. Now, the car manufacturer can ramp up its production for the well-received C-Class line. MB South Africa wins JD Powers’ Gold Plant Quality Award 2 years straight

Never falling short of international awards, Mercedes-Benz has just received another prestigious trophy for their MBSA production plant down in East London. The plant, which manufactures the C-Class for both the local market and export to the US, has actually won the same award once before. The award, bestowed by none other than JD Power and Associates, is actually based on their US Initial Quality Study, or IQS for short. Mercedes-Benz has won the award by beating its own previous record.
