Daimler posts strong Q1 ender in the US

Everyone has been waiting in anticipation for Daimler to post its performance in the US market, especially after its rivals BMW, Volkswagen and Audi have all spread word about their share of the American pie. But, as anyone would expect from one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world, the German based marquee has done pretty nicely in the States the previous month. Mercedes-Benz with double digit growth in February – 10.3%

In February, Mercedes-Benz continued the positive trend of the past several months, with sales rising by 10%. This was the 16th month in a row that sales grew at a double-digit rate. In total, 79,500 customers worldwide (February 2010: 72,100) purchased a passenger car from Mercedes-Benz. Since the beginning of the year, deliveries have therefore risen by 17 percent to 162,200 units (January-February 2010: 139,100). Mercedes-Benz USA Reports Significant Gains In Sales Figures

In news that must have brought broad smiles to the people of Mercedes-Benz USA, the company has reported significant upticks for sales figures for the month of February. MBUSA sold 16,167 units for the past month, which is a combined figure for all Mercedes-Benz and Maybach vehicles sold in the U.S. These figures include the Sprinter commercial van and Mercedes’ Certified Pre-Owned Program. Currently, MBUSA has 12 model lines for the U.S., ranging from the sporty C-Class, the luxury S-Class sedans and the SLS AMG supercar. Mercedes Aims For Top Spot In India By Yearend

Acknowledging that it does not control the top spot in terms of cars sales in India, Mercedes-Benz has declared that it may again do so by the end of the year. Mercedes-Benz USA Posts 14% Growth for January 2011

Momentum is an incredible thing, and right now Mercedes-Benz is still riding strong 2010 figures, as evidenced by a 14-percent year-on-year sales increase in the US market for the month of January. The company sold 17,273 units for the month, compared to January 2010 figures of 15,158 units. The growth is largely attributed to the big demand for passenger vehicles and SUVs. These figures include a 136-percent increase on the sales of diesel models. Mercedes-Benz USA Launches Gallons Per Tweets Superbowl Race

Mercedes-Benz USA has launched their Tweet Race to the Superbowl via their Facebook page. It is basically a race to gather the most tweets. The winning team gets Mercedes-Benz cars as their prize. Aside from traditional advertisements, Mercedes-Benz is jumping into the Web marketing game with its Super Bowl ad campaign, something the company’s marketing vice president Stephen Cannon calls a “strategic leap of faith.” Mercedes-Benz, through “The World’s First Twitter-Fueled Race,” is giving away two cars to two-person teams who garner the most Mercedes-Benz-related Tweets and Facebook “likes” between now and the Super Bowl. Daimler Reports Year-to-Date Sales Increase of Almost 20%

Daimler AG today reported U.S. sales of 19,248 Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles, an improvement of 13.3 Percent compared to November 2009. Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported its highest November sales volume since 2007 with sales of 19,037, an increase of 13.3% for the month. 18,208 passenger cars, light truck vehicles and 829 Sprinter vans are included in this total. Sales of 203,468 vehicles on a year-to-date basis reflects a sales increase of 19.4%.
