The Mercedes-AMG GT R is the official Safety Car of Formula One. So far, it is the most powerful safety car of the sport. The mechanical specs of the new AMG GT R F1 safety car is the same as the road-going vehicle. It is powered by a 4.0-liter AMG biturbo V8 with 577 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. The acceleration of the auto from zero to 62 mph is 3.6 seconds. Furthermore, it comes with the AMG Track Package that provides it a roll-over protection system as well as high-performance compound braking system. Mercedes-AMG GT S Debuts As DTM Safety Car

The Mercedes-AMG GT S is considered as among the best luxury supercars in the market. But, it appears that some people have other plans for this supercar from the German luxury vehicle manufacturer. The AMG GT S is set to make its first appearance as the official safety vehicle during the second DTM race, as shown on a report from gtspirit.com. The new safety and medical cars that will be used in the 2015 season of Formula One have just been unveiled. Of course, due to the reliability and performance of Mercedes-AMG cars, two of its popular models were once again chosen for the sport. First, the Mercedes-AMG GT S has been chosen as the Formula One safety car. The vehicle replaces the SLS AMG gullwing that has served in F1 for five years. Under the hood of the car is a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine capable of providing up to 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque.
