Will We See Rosberg vs Hamilton Rivalry This Season

With the recent victory of Nico Rosberg in the 2014 Australian Grand Prix,  Formula One pundits  claim that we might be seeing a preview of the dominance of the team of Mercedes AMG Petronas in the races that are about to come. Monaco Practice Session Shows Mercedes On Pace

If the results of the practice sessions are anything to go by, the current setup of both Mercedes F1 cars for Monaco should put them in podium position come the race weekend. Consistent with the pronouncements of team boss Ross Brawn leading up to this race weekend, the Mercedes team has obviously managed to get the settings right for the unique street course that is Monaco. 2011 Turkish Grand Prix

Mercedes GP Petronas drivers Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher finished the Turkish Grand Prix in fifth and twelfth places respectively today. Started from third on the grid, Nico ran a clean race to finish fifth, with high tyre degradation in the early stages preventing him from finishing higher. Michael started strongly and was running seventh when a collision with Vitaly Petrov at turn 12 damaged his front wing and forced him to pit. He was then out of sequence and fought hard from last place on lap three to finish in 12th position.

Petronas finishes 5th and 9th at Italian GP

Despite not achieving podium, the pair of Mercedes GP Petronas drivers Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher were able to deposit double points into their score cards at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, having crossed the finish line in fifth and ninth spots respectively. And yes, if you’re wondering, Nico is still consistently beating his wing leader to the line. Nico was fighting vehemently with late-braking Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull towards the checkered flag but was unable to win fourth place.
