SLS AMG Struts Its Stuff At The Nurburgring

Despite all the exposure you see of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG on the Internet, actual sightings of this car in real life are not that common. So when we see one in the flesh, we make the most of the experience. In the video clip that follows, we see an SLS AMG initially parked at the world-famous Nurburgring, a track where immature drivers need not apply. While all vehicles are welcome at the Nurburgring (you even see the occasional bus!), the most common cars you see are Porsches and other cars of similar performance. Flared fenders front and rear with upgraded brakes and huge wheels. Carbon fiber body work that makes it lighter. An upgrade on power of up to 650bhp. What is this? The SLS AMG Black Series, a lighter and faster gullwing vehicle that will retain its 6.2 liter V8 was spotted in Nurburgring. Mercedes-Benz Classic ‘Fintail’ Competes in Nurburgring

Fahrergemeinschaft Historischer Rennsport e.V. (FHR) organized a long distance cup to happen on October 22 to 23, 2011 in Nurburgring. Mercedes-Benz is not to be left behind, as it sends a classic car based on the Mercedes 220 SE model called ‘Fintail’. The wheel of the Fintail will be taken by Andrew Frankel, a British journalist and Klaus Ludwig, a former tour car driver. The car was built by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center following the regulations in Appendix K of the sports standard of the Féderation Internationale de l’Automobile or FIA. CLS crashes during testing

Despite the majestic 2012 Mercedes-Benz being released to the public only recently at its world debut at the 2010 Paris Auto Show, there’s already news of it being involved in a crash, courtesy of The uneventful crash takes place in the Green Hell, a.k.a. Nurburgring, the infamous race track in Germany where so many crashes have occurred, whether during racing, or merely testing. In fact, it’s the favored spot of car engineers especially during final testing phases. If you look at the photos, it seems that there is minimum damage. Spy Photo: 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class At The Ring

Mercedes has released statement that the latest C-Class Coupe is geared to join its vehicle range when the C-Class is presented for its mid-cycle update in 2011. The latest photo at the Nurburgring in Germany shows that its testing phase is in its last stages. The current rendering presents a look at the would-be styling for the latest coupe, but photos of what is perceived to be a bright-orange crash-test coupe, spied a couple of months ago, shows few differences. SLS GT3 crashes in track debut

Kudos to Frikadelli Racing Team for sourcing this exclusive video of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 crashing in its track debut. Not that we’re too happy about the GT3 meeting tragedy. In fact, it’s heartbreaking to see something so full of potential screwing up on the track at high speed. You can’t help but blame the driver, especially once you’re caught in fascination by the GT3’s unique beauty and finesse. Frikadella’s onboard camera caught the action while rolling on their Porsche racecar behind the GT3. Bruno Spengler leads DTM team to one-two-three victory at Nurburgring

The DTM team of Mercedes-Benz swept the entire Nurburgring clean from lights to checkered flag, pushing aside their Audi opponents Mattias Ekstrom and Martin Tomczyk. It was Canadian Bruno Spengler who took home the top honor, garnering 10 points for his effort for the second time this season. Meanwhile, it was Britains Paul Di Resta and Gary Parfett who clinched 2nd and 3rd place to earn Mercedes-Benz a one-two-three podium victory pleasing around 86,000 DTM fans. Spengler now leads the tournament comfortably by a span of 16 points.
