Coming Soon: The Mercedes-AMG GT R

In the period leading to the development of the Mercedes-AMG GT3, there were hints that its maker is also planning to release a road version of it. That sports car has been referred to as the GT3 or the Black Series lately. However, a new report suggests the car might carry the name Mercedes-AMG GT R. Mercedes-Benz rules at DTM Hockenheim

In a brilliant display of racing supremacy, Mercedes-Benz driver Gary Paffett stunned an audience of 71,000 at Sunday’s DTM race season opener by beating drivers from rival German manufacturer teams BMW and Audi. Despite a slight mishap at the start of the race and multiple brushes with other cars, 31-year-old Parfett shows he’s got the right attitude and skills to beat everyone else, including his teammate Jamie Green, to the chequered flag. Bruno Spengler leads DTM team to one-two-three victory at Nurburgring

The DTM team of Mercedes-Benz swept the entire Nurburgring clean from lights to checkered flag, pushing aside their Audi opponents Mattias Ekstrom and Martin Tomczyk. It was Canadian Bruno Spengler who took home the top honor, garnering 10 points for his effort for the second time this season. Meanwhile, it was Britains Paul Di Resta and Gary Parfett who clinched 2nd and 3rd place to earn Mercedes-Benz a one-two-three podium victory pleasing around 86,000 DTM fans.
