Investigators Reveal the Events Leading to the Schumacher Accident

French investigators were finally able to put together the story leading to the Michael Schumacher accident which left the seven-time Formula 1 champion in a critical state on December 29, 2013, just days before New Year and his 45th birthday. According to a report from The Telegraph, Prosecutor Patrick Quincy officially revealed the investigators’ findings about the Schumacher accident. In his account, the multi-time champ was skiing at 2,700 meters, on a tiny off-track portion of the Meribel ski resort. The area was between the blue and red piste. Michael Schumacher in Critical Condition Following Skiing Accident

Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Michael Schumacher is in critical condition after the seven-time F1 champion underwent brain surgery needed as a result of an accident while skiing in Meribel, a ski resort in the Tarentaise Valley in the French Alps. The surgery was needed for Schumacher’s serious head trauma, and the official statement from the hospital says “he remains in a critical condition.” The press statement is signed by a neurosurgeon, the Grenoble University Hospital Center’s deputy director Marc Penaud, and an anesthesiologist. Schumacher in Mercedes-Benz F1 Car Takes On AMG Models

Before the 24-hour Nurburgring event last weekend, Mercedes-Benz put on an awesome demonstration of what their Formula One car is capable of. The demo pitted Michael Schumacher in a Mercedes-Benz F1 race car against four AMG variants of the brand in a game of “catch up”. The variants included were the A45 AMG, E63 AMG 4Matic, SLS AMG Black Series and SLS AMG GT3. On the helm of the AMG cars were Bernd Maylander, Karl Wendlinger, Nico Rosberg and Bernd Schneider, respectively. Mercedes AMG Performance Drive to Feature Schumacher, Rosberg in Nurburgring Warm-up

In the lead-up to the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring on May 19, Mercedes-Benz will stage a special showcase called Mercedes AMG Performance Drive, which will pit a quartet of Mercedes AMG vehicles against the lone F1 Silver Arrow to be driven by motorsport legend Michael Schumacher.
