Rosberg Scores Historic Win for Mercedes GP

Nico Rosberg finally felt how sweet it is to win a Formula One Grand Prix event at the Chinese Grand Prix last Sunday. It was historic for both the driver and Mercedes AMG Petronas GP, as the win marked the first victory in 57 years for an F1 car that rode purely under the banner of the Silver Arrow. Rosberg cruised to victory, ending up with a 20.6-second lead on the next guys, who happened to be driving Mercedes-powered cars. Puma is Now Partners with Mercedes GP Petronas

Starting January 1, 2012, the sports brand Puma will be the exclusive licensing partner of Mercedes GP Petronas for their footwear, accessories and apparel. The agreement also includes the ability to get their brands on MP W03, teamwear products and the 2012 race car. Puma will also provide the Mercedes Petronas team with its latest developments in fireproof race wear for pit crew and drivers. New Addition to the Mercedes GP Petronas Team Announced

To further strengthen the technical structure of Mercedes Petronas Team, the company announced the appointment of Geoffrey Willis as the Technology Director effective October 17 and Aldo Costa as Engineering Director starting December 1. Costa will be assigned in the development and design while Willis will handle the aerodynamics, control system and simulation functions. They will both report directly to Bob Bell, the technical director. Both Costa and Willis have extensive experience in their respective field. Costa worked as a Technical Director with the Ferrari Team having eight World Championship at Maranello before leaving on May 2011. Michael Schumacher Crashed at the F1 Qualifying in SPA

Michael Schumacher only ran for 67 seconds at the F1 qualifying in Spa. He said that it was a bizarre accident. His right rear wheel was detached at the start of the Q1.
