You read that right, a diesel roadster, which is the first for Mercedes-Benz. The SLK 250 CDI is a two seater vehicle that boasts of superior design and ultimate power. The roadster boasts of 204HP power brought about by its 4-cylinder engine with 2143cc displacement. It’s also an economical car with its 1.3 gallons of diesel that can run around 62 miles. No, the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG will not have the rumored V6 engines. Mercedes-Benz have decided that they will continue with the 5.5L V8 engines which they based on the AMG M157 5.5L N8 biturbos that is found in the CL63, E63, CLS 63 and S63 models. The V8 engine, that’s made of aluminum is donned with the AMG Cylinder Management System that makes the vehicle’s fuel efficiency increase because it shuts off the 4-cylinders from 800 to 3,600rpm. German tuning company, Carlsson enhances the 2012 Mercedes Benz. The kit simply called the” Carlsson 2012 SLK” includes a rear apron and front spoiler, a pair of side sills, stainless grille and sport system of the same material. The interior kit includes seats, panel upholstery and headrest. Meanwhile the engine attached is the new CGI engines which increases the performance to up to 40HP from the original one. The upgrade also has a 30mm lower suspension and custom 18-inch wheels. The complete upgrade for the 2012 Mercedes SLK costs € 1,190 to € 1,690.
