Mercedes Job Openings at the Company’s Alabama Plant

If you want to be a part of the dynamic Mercedes workforce, this will definitely come as a good news for you if you are in Alabama or if you are willing to relocate in the state for a Mercedes job. According to, an Alabama-based website, Mercedes job openings have been posted at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Alabama. Based from the source, two technical programs are currently open for applicants in the German automaker’s Tuscaloosa County plant. Mercedes-Benz Executive Arrested in Alabama

An unnamed German executive is released after he was arrested because of Alabama’s strict immigration laws. The 46-year old executive was pulled over because his rental car did not have tags, and then he was not able to show identifications other than his German ID card. He was released after an associate presented his visa, passport and German driver’s license, which he left at the hotel. The report from Tuscaloosa News also said that as soon as Gov. Robert Bentley heard about the arrest, he contacted State Homeland Security Director Spencer Collier to get information. 60th Anniversary of Mercedes-Benz Plant in Argentina

The company’s first production plant outside of Germany, the Argentina plant celebrated their 60th Anniversary last week. About 700 people were present in the event as the company also announced that the OM651 engine will soon be produced there. The guests in the ceremony are Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, the President of Argentina, Volker Mornhinweg, Mercedes-Benz vans global head, Roland Zey, head of Mercedes-Benz Argentina and Jürgen Ziegler, in the management of Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles for the Latin America. Mercedes-Benz Factory in Germany Part of Oklahoma Instructors’ Tour

Two instructors from the Meridian Technology Center took a trip to Germany. This is in an effort to help teachers “bring the world to their classrooms”. The two teachers, Shelly Smith and David Shields, toured car manufacturing plants in Germany, one of those plants being Mercedes-Benz. Another part of their tour is the Mercedes-Benz museum which, they said, did a good job in explaining how automotive technology developed. Another thing they observed in the country is how different Germans commute from Americans. Mercedes-Benz Engines in Production at the Kolleda Plant

Since Friday, M270 petrol engine for the future A and B Class started rolling in the Mercedes-Benz Plant in Thuringia. The 1.6L engine that will be produced in the Kolleda, Thrungia plant, will be made of aluminum and it weighs 137 kg, the B-class will be the ones carrying this engine. Another engine to be built is the OM 651 for the A and B class. Meanwhile, the diesel engines will be prefabricated in Stuttgart, the Kolleda plant will be in charged of the final assembly.
