Others even claim that it would even signal a rivalry between Rosberg vs Hamilton for the championship in the foreseeable future. New Mercedes Advertisement Mocks F1 Rule Changes

Despite the huge uproar of teams and fans alike over the implementation of the new F1 rules, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg seem to just have a good laugh about it. A recent Mercedes advertisement released a couple of hours ago in YouTube by Mercedes AMG Petronas shows its two drivers mock the new F1 regulations by playing dumb over it. The video is quite funny since it reflects most of the F1 community’s view over the new F1 rules concerning the engine, scoring and the barrage of other technical changes taking place this season. Among the things mocked in the video are the smaller engine, penalties imposed to drivers,… Continue Reading »

Rosberg 5th, Hamilton 9th as Mercedes Bags Second in the 2013 F1 Season

While the results of the season were already a foregone conclusion, teams not named Red Bull were still fighting for something up until the last race. Nico Rosberg finished fifth at the 2013 Brazilian Grand Prix, while teammate Lewis Hamilton withstood a drive-through penalty to still finish within the championship points at ninth. Overall, Mercedes improved a lot from 2012, thanks in part to the acquisition of Hamilton and also a renewed focus on setups and performance. The 360 championship points of the team was a marked improvement, as… Continue Reading »

Fellow Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton settled for seventh place. More importantly, the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team managed to score more points than their red-clad rivals Ferrari, padding their lead in the battle for second place in the constructors’ standings. Mercedes Stutters at Suzuka; Rosberg 8th in 2013 Japanese GP

In what would go down as one of the most disappointing races for the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team this season, Lewis Hamilton had to retire after seven laps and Nico Rosberg settled for eighth place at the 2013 Japanese Grand Prix. Hamilton qualified for P3 on the starting grid, and actually got off to a good start off the five red lights, only to see all that work come undone after contact with Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull heading into turn 1. Contact with Vettel’s front wing led to a puncture in the right rear tire, and that was basically it for Hamilton as running for nearly an entire lap… Continue Reading »
