IIHS Gives the 2014 Mercedes E-Class a Top Safety Pick+ Rating

Mercedes-Benz is not only a brand known for providing customers with elegant, comfortable, technologically-advanced and high-performance vehicles, it is also praised for its top-of-the-line standards when it comes to safety. Recently, the marque’s 2014 Mercedes E-Class was tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. As expected, the results were nothing short of impressive. Mercedes-Benz M-Class Gets Top Safety Pick+ Recognition from IIHS

Stricter crash tests? No problem for the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The 2014 model year of the premium SUV from the German automaker managed to snag the Top Safety Pick+ award in tougher tests overseen by the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This latest award is yet another feather in the cap of the highly acclaimed M-Class line, which also took home 5-star ratings last year from Euro New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) and US NCAP safety tests. E-Class awarded IIHS’ Top Safety Pick award for strong roof

So which car won this year’s Top Safety Pick? Well, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, it’s the Cadillac CTS and the Infiniti M, which are both very impressive in each of their own’s rights.
