Multibeam LED Headlamps in Mercedes E-Class Get Red Dot Award

Mercedes-Benz recently received the Red Dot Design Award for its Multibeam LED headlamps, which come as standard equipment in the all-new E-Class models. The award is just another proof that Mercedes is a global trendsetter when it comes to its designs. According to Daimler, the Multibeam LED headlamps were among the 5,214 product entries submitted for judging in the “Red Dot Design Awards” of this year. The Multibeam LED headlamps come as an optional add-on in the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Announced officially by Mercedes in 2013 and offered for the first time in the current S-Class model of that period, the feature promised that it would offer flexibility in terms of illumination wherein it would adjust itself depending on a particular situation on the road. It is composed of a group of LED lighting diodes with each part acting individually to enhance targeting and light distribution.
