The market launch and showroom debut for new GLK-Class is scheduled to be in January of 2009, so Mercedes has decided to also launch the GLK-Class Selection, which is a range of products whose distinctive design, high-quality, robust materials that underline the versatile personality of the compact Sports Utility Vehicle. The specially selected range includes casual leisurewear for the fashion-conscious, attractive accessories for outdoor activities and elegant items for shopping excursions to the city. The most interesting of all the products offered is the iPhone pouch, which was seen at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The products which make up the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class Selection will be available from Mercedes-Benz partners and sales & service outlets from the beginning of October.

The new Mercedes-Benz compact SUV has been met with an outstanding response from customers in the first month after the vehicle was released for sale on June 30, 2008. In Western Europe alone, Mercedes-Benz has already received a total of 10,000 orders for a GLK-Class vehicle by the end of July. Deliveries of the GLK, which celebrated its world premiere at the Auto China show in Beijing at the end of April, are scheduled to commence in Western Europe in October, with market launch in the U.S. set to follow at the beginning of 2009.
