Gorden Wagener Awarded as the Best Interior Designer

Gorden Wagener, the mind behind the aesthetic designs of Mercedes-Benz vehicles since 2008, was the recipient of an award recently. Based from the report of TorqueNews, the three-pointed star brand’s Head of Design was chosen as the Best Interior Designer at the Automotive Interiors Expo 2014. Among his works that were recognized by the awarding body were his interior styling for the GLA-Class, 2015 C-Class and the new S-Class. The judges, comprised of renowned automotive journalists in the world, have handpicked Wagener among other nominees due to his major contribution in the evolution of the interior quality of automobiles in the past twelve months. The Forgotten Roadtrip Interactive Story

Today, Mercedes-Benz released an interactive adventure story in its webpage. The story involves a man named Ryan who appeared to have forgotten everything that happened to him the previous night—similar to Hangover, except that he wasn’t wasted on alcohol or drugs. At the start of the story, a blurry flashback involving a girl and a confrontation appears. Then, the protagonist wakes up to himself lying face down in the hot desert sand. Mercedes-Benz GLA Production Commences

Production of the highly anticipated Mercedes-Benz GLA is in full swing, as the first completely assembled unit rolled off the automaker’s Rastatt plant. The GLA represents a significant part of the company’s strategy in the coming years, as it is positioned in the all-important SUV segment, completing the range while growing Mercedes-Benz’s own compact model lineup. Mercedes-Benz GLA Class Crossover Prototype Make An Appearance In Dubai

Following its introduction during the Shanghai Auto Show, production of the Mercedes-Benz GLA Class Crossover is set to start soon. A video recently emerged showing the attention-grabbing curves of the vehicle. The new Mercedes-Benz GLA Class Crossover will have a different look compared to the Kia Sportage and the Ford Kuga, its rivals in the market. Its rear window will make it appear sporty due to its sloping design. The base engine of the GLA 180 is expected to be a 1.6L turbo with 122PS and 200Nm of torque. AMG’s Crossover Weapon Spied Testing In Sweden

With these pictures, it’s all but confirmed that an AMG version of the GLA-Class Mercedes crossover is in the works. Caught testing in Sweden, this GLA, which of course doesn’t have any AMG badging on it, was given away by its big brakes, dual exhausts and unusual ride height. Based on the MFA platform on which both the A-Class and B-Class share, this upcoming road warrior will carry the GLA45 badge. Spotted in testing is this future GLA-Class Mercedes-Benz prototype known for now as the X156. As Mercedes-Benz continues to expand its lineup to cover untapped niches in the market, we will see more and more variants of the MFA platform which is the basis for this and the A-Class models. As a crossover sport ute, the GLA-Class would pit itself against offerings from Infiniti, Lexus, Volvo and BMW.
