Mercedes-Benz Gets Strong Sales in Canada Last Month

Today, Mercedes-Benz Canada released its sales report for the month of May. So far, it showed a strong performance of the brand in the country. According to Canada Newswire, a grand total of 3,300 Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter and Smart cars were sold last month in Canada. This year marks a total of 14,028 units sold via the MB Canadian retail network alone. There was a recorded figure of 2,820 units retailed for the passenger cars luxury light trucks sold in the country. The breakdown is as follows: 1,618 passenger car units were sold while the luxury light truck’s side accounted for the remaining 1,202. Mercedes-Benz GL Class Miniatures Now Offered

New collectibles are coming to Mercedes-Benz sales partners and the online store—this time, fans will be able to grab Mercedes-Benz GL Class miniature replicas. These are true to the original, as they use the same CAD data used to manufacture the parts of the vehicle. The hand-assembled models are available in five different paint schemes and in two scales: 1:18 and 1:43. For this new set, Mercedes-Benz is taking the detail to a whole new level. The decorations—the details that include pattern painting, stickers, chrome-plating, et cetera—total up to 253 for the 1:18 scale models, which usually just get around 150 decorations. Mercedes To Launch GL Grand Edition Later This Year

Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch late this year of a Grand Edition for the GL. This model is to be the final iteration of the current model before it is replaced. To distinguish it from the other models, the Grand Edition is being released with a new front fascia and grille. LED daytime running lights as well as tinted headlights complete the front-end treatment. The rest of the body detail changes include aluminum running wheels, Grand Edition-specific 20-inch wheels and exclusive badging. Piecha Design Back with New Tuning Package for M-Class and GL-Class

Tuning expert Piecha Design is at it again, releasing an all-new tuning kit that is applicable to both the Mercedes-Benz M-Class (w164) and GL-Class (x164). Fuel filter leak recall issued on 2011 models

Heads up, folks! If you’re driving a 2011 E-Class, GL-Class, M-Class or R-Class, then you’d better call your dealer right away. Mercedes-Benz has just issued a recall on these models due to leakage problems on their fuel filters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says there is an o-ring on the fuel system that may not have been lubricated and installed properly, thus causing fuel to spill out.
