car2go, Austin’s new mobility program, announced today a new six month pilot partnership with the State of Texas that gives state employees access to the car sharing program and parking spots located at the Capitol Complex. I am not quite sure why Daimler felt it was necessary to announce that the smart electric drive will be going to production, if they have already had done this in January. Nevertheless, the smart electric drive is officially a go – again. Daimler has confirmed that it is “ready for small series production”.
