Mercedes-Benz GLC Gets Five-Star Rating From Euro NCAP

In terms of safety, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC scored the top rating in the latest evaluation of the European New Car Assessment Programme or Euro NCAP. The new SUV, which is a revamped version of the Mercedes-Benz GLK, received five stars from the rating system of the organization. Based on the explanation of Euro NCAP on its scoring, a five-star safety means the vehicle has an overall good performance in crash protection. Mercedes Citan Kombi Gets 3-Star Rating

In what must have caused no small amount of embarrassment all around, Mercedes-Benz’s Citan Kombi was recently tested by Euro NCAP and found wanting. This was because it was found to have less than satisfactory performance in some areas, such as the restraint systems, a marginal side airbag and gaps in the latching system for the sliding door. PRE-SAFE technology caps two Euro NCAP awards for safety

Another award has been vested on German premium car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz. This time, it’s from the European New Car Assessment Programme, or Euro NCAP. The two awards were won with the company’s anticipatory occupant protection system, dubbed PRE-SAFE, and the PRE-SAFE Brake driver assistance systems. So now you’re wondering what these systems do.
