Mercedes-Benz Enters a New Battleground in the US EV Market

Mercedes-Benz is gearing to introduce its first mass-produced pure electric vehicle in the U.S. According to Forbes, the flagship luxury vehicle brand of Daimler is looking for an end of June or early July release of the EV in the American soil. The entry of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive in the region will pit it against the more established brands when it comes to EVs such as Tesla and Nissan. It should be noted that Tesla is currently dominating the county’s EV market, thanks to its Model S. Daimler and BMW join forces on EV project

Rivals can become the best of friends. At least, when trying to come up with a car project that will enrich the lives of millions. Too good to be true? You better believe it. Daimler AG and BMW are combining their valued resources into a project known as the Visio.M. Car2Go program to expand starting with 60 additional charging stations

Stuttgart officials have officially announced the launch of Smart’s Car2Go program to be in 2012. The program will begin with 200 Smart electric drive vehicles to be stationed for operation in Mercedes-Benz’s home country, Germany. Word comes from Stuttgart’s Lord Mayor himself, Wolfgang Schuster, acknowledges the benefits that the program will nevertheless bring to the city. Daimler AG’s Car2Go program had already proved itself in test runs held in both Hamburg and Ulm in Germany. Volex Style’s 2011 LEC Electric Car Concept

Daimler-BYD EV now up for prototyping

Almost twelve months have passed since Daimler AG signed a joint partnership deal with Chinese car manufacturer BYD.
