MEC Design Enhances Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

MEC Design released an upgrade program for the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, according to a recent report from motorward.com. Although the enhancements made by the tuning specialist from Germany are considered light, it enhanced the appeal of the E63 in the market. The enhancements gave the redesigned executive-class sedan a sporty appearance due to its restyled exterior and new wheels. The tuning program provided by MEC Design concentrated on three major areas, wheels, suspension, and exhaust system. However, it should be noted that the E63 AMG is already perfect in these major areas. The luxury vehicle features a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, stylish body and deluxe interiors. 2009 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Receives Power Boost From Loewenstein

The 2009 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is among the most aggressive cars in the lineup of the German luxury vehicle manufacturer. When it initially came out in the market in 2009, the E63 featured a naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V8 engine. However, this was later modified by Mercedes-Benz and current variants of the luxury vehicle feature a 5.5-liter bi-turbo V8 engine offering a power output ranging from 525 PS to 557 PS. In fact, the next generation of the E63 is expected to come with a much smaller 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine. Mercedes-Benz Exec Admits That The E63 Should Have An AMG Variant

Almost all the modern models of Mercedes-Benz benefited from an AMG version. But it seemed like the company overlooked the E63, which is an E-Class Coupe. This was also admitted by the product manager of the company, Gerd Junginger, in the BenzBoost website. Fans asked the exec why they can’t make the AMG variant now. Junginger replied that it is too late for them already to provide one. He said that an AMG version would no longer benefit the E63 because it is already too late in terms of its product cycle, especially when the launching of the refreshed 2014 model is nearing. In his statement at the website, he said, “It’s… Continue Reading »

Track Clip Of E63 AMG S-Model Pair

That the latest E63 AMG is a superlative car is already a given, having 560 on tap in a “family” sedan. German car enthusiasts know that Mercedes is pitting this car squarely against Audi and BMW. Many may disagree, but the latest iteration of AMG’s mid-size hammer is the best looking of the current super sedans. With gaping intakes at the front and an engine note that can come only from a large V8, this ersatz family car will scare more than small kids. In the accompanying video, Mercedes shows a pair of E63 AMGs, one being the 4-door and the other an estate version. As has been widely publicized,… Continue Reading »

E63 AMG Video Shows Car’s Jekyll & Hyde Persona

Many enthusiasts bemoan the loss of naturally-aspirated behemoth engines like the 6.2 liter V8 which was once the mainstay AMG engine. But despite the thinking of traditionalists, Mercedes engineering has shown that power and fuel efficiency are not mutually exclusive. With the new-generation AMG twin turbo V8, Mercedes has proven that power and fuel efficiency can go hand in hand. Other German manufacturers have made a similar switch to forced induction like AMG has, and the new 5.5 biturbo V8 is certainly no slouch. And as the clip that follows shows, the sound of the engine is not too shabby either. What is becoming more apparent with each new model… Continue Reading »
