Whether as a Saloon, Coupe or Estate variant, the new Mercedes E-Class has the highest value retention of any luxury segment model series in Germany. In three years time these models will command the highest resale values in their segment, according to a prognosis by the independent market research institute Bà¤hr & Fess Forecast. This one again confirms the high value retention of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

According to calculations by the Saarbrücken-based specialists, the E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Saloon will still realize up to 62.5 percent of its current new value in three years time. The Mercedes E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY Estate is forecast to be worth up to 60 percent of its current new price in 2012, and used car buyers are expected to pay up to 58 percent for the E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Coupe. All the calculations are based on a total operating mileage of 60,000 kilometres, and on the dealer resale value.

Mercedes-Benz has some serious issues with models being leaked weeks if not months before they are officially announced. Today, courtesy of Autoblog.nl, we are get to see what the next-gen CLK or E-Class Coupe will look like. Even though, we have seen almost totally undisguised images of the Coupe, this is the first time that press photos have been published.

The coupe is very similar to the new E-Class released at NAIAS last week, but it also borrows heavily from the CL, making it a prefect and affordable coupe.

Last week, we got the opportunity to see a computer illustration on what the 2010 E-Class Cabrio might look like. This week, courtesy of our beloved GlobalMotors guys, we get to see fresh spy shots of the upcoming E-Class Cabrio. It will be closely based on the coupe version, and will even inherit the E-Class sedan engines. The only thing different is that it will have a soft top, which of course is acceptable, but I am more in favor of having a hard top. Either way, looking forward to more spy shots and info of course.
