Mercedes AMG Petronas posts 1-2 finish at the 2014 Chinese Grand Prix

It is officially a trend. Mercedes AMG Petronas posted its third straight one-two finish at the Chinese Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton once again taking the win and Nico Rosberg finishing in second place. The win also makes it four victories in four races for the team, with Rosberg taking the title at the season opener in Australia. This particular win gives Hamilton 25 for his career, which puts him in a tie for eighth place on the all-time list along with Niki Lauda and Jim Clark. Mercedes Downplays Its Chances At The Chinese Grand Prix

Despite their win at the Chinese Grand Prix last year, Mercedes head Toto Wolff is playing down its chances of retaining the title as the season starts. Last year was the first win of the team since it returned to Formula 1 racing behind the commanding victory of Nico Rosberg in Shanghai. Although the team is supposedly second only to Red Bull according to Lewis Hamilton, Wolf is trying to be more realistic about the team’s chances this year. Rosberg Scores Historic Win for Mercedes GP

Nico Rosberg finally felt how sweet it is to win a Formula One Grand Prix event at the Chinese Grand Prix last Sunday. It was historic for both the driver and Mercedes AMG Petronas GP, as the win marked the first victory in 57 years for an F1 car that rode purely under the banner of the Silver Arrow. Rosberg cruised to victory, ending up with a 20.6-second lead on the next guys, who happened to be driving Mercedes-powered cars. Mercedes GP Petronas Finishes Fifth, Eighth at Chinese Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg rode momentum from his strong finish at the previous race by getting fifth place at the just-concluded Chinese Grand Prix, and Michael Schumacher was able to finish in the points at eight place. McLaren-Mercedes also posted an incredible victory with Lewis Hamilton leading the charge, and teammate Jenson Button was at fourth place behind the Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber.
