Pink Smart Fortwo up for eBay auction

Raising money for an advocacy such as cancer awareness is always a good way to get publicity. And that’s exactly what a certain bunch of celebrities have done with the Smart Fortwo, or something like it. Sitting beside the limited edition Smart Fortwo Pink Passion is a huge patchwork made completely out of fabric, courtesy of donations from the celebrities themselves. It doesn’t matter whether they donated clothes that are worth more than the average yuppy’s salary. Mercedes-Benz UK teams up with The Food Bank at Milton Keynes

Have a heart for the poor? Donate food items this October 1 and 2 at the Midsummer Place Shopping Center at Milton Keynes. Mercedes-Benz UK will be on site to support the food collection event dubbed The Food Bank. The event is a basic system of collecting, organizing and distributing food donations to people who have been thrown off the economic ladder and living lives in poverty due to unfortunate events such as death in the family, sickness, over expenditure or even theft. Star Fund to help educate thousands of children in China

Today marks the beginning of a new charity drive between Mercedes-Benz and the China Youth Development Foundation, or CYDF. Under the name of Mercedes-Benz Star Fund, the account has an initial amount of RMB 30 million and has began furnishing 125 music classrooms all across Hope Schools in China to give around 40,000 rural children proper music education. The fund runs with the slogan “Nurturing the World of Tomorrow,” and serves as a basis for Mercedes-Benz’s five core CSR pillars, namely environmental protection, arts and music, sports, driving culture and other causes such as disaster aid projects. Mercedes-Benz Naples Golf Tournament raises money for community school

Who said golf is only for the rich and powerful? If you take a little time to understand the sport, you’ll learn that it’s not always about a bunch of athletes having someone follow them around with a bag of clubs and an umbrella. There’s actually a lot of charity involved in the sport, as shown recently by Mercedes-Benz. This year’s beneficiary of the Mercedes-Benz of Naples’ Golf Tournament is the Community School of Naples. The tournament, held at the Kensington Golf & Country Club, raised a $7,000 check.
